Offline Exception for Acrobat Pro DC

Hello Community!

I've been struggling to troubleshoot a very bizarre issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.  I'll try my best to explain the situation and I"ll hope that someone anyone can provide some insight.

I've used the Acrobat Customization Wizard DC to grant an offline exception and disable registration for our Acrobat Pro DC product and I've confirmed that our license key is a volume license.  I also added some registry entries required for our environment which includes Internet-connected systems and off-network systems.

Installing the customized package on an Internet-connected system works as expected.  The software launches as expected from any location (i.e. .\Adobe\Acrobat 2015\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe) or the Start Menu and the user is not prompted to sign in.  The results after installing the exact same package on the off-network system are not the same.

First, when launching the program from the Start Menu, the "Please wait while windows configures Adobe Acrobat DC" dialog box appears every time.  When launching the program from the Program Files (x86) folder, this dialog box does not appear.

Second- and regardless of the way the program is launched- the user is presented with an Adobe sign-in screen with two options:  "sign in later" and "sign in now".  The "sign in later" option appears to disable this sign-in screen for an as-yet undetermined amount of time. Obviously, "sign in now" option is not an option for the off-network systems.  Changing the date to several months ahead forces the "Activation Required" dialog box to appear where the only options are "Activate Now" and "Having trouble connecting to the internet?".  Obviously, "Activate Now" is not an option.

Following the manual "Offline Activation" process appears to work but this is not a viable solution considering our environment.  Besides, if the Acrobat Customization Wizard DC provides a mechanism to grant an offline exception and bypass registration, the question remains- why is not working on systems that are not online?

Can anyone shed some light on what might be preventing this installation from working?  Are there additional troubleshooting steps or specific log entries, registry keys, or Windows services that I should be looking for?

I appreciate any help available and look forward to your feedback, support, and encouragement!

Thanks,

Dan Embry
