I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and edited an existing PDF that was probably created in a previous version. I saved it and chose to apply a digital ID. Now I can't open it because I get the error popup
"A digital ID was used to encrypt this document, but no digital ID is present to decrypt it. Make sure your digital id is properly installed...."
So I created a new PDF and saved two copies. I have two digital IDs available when saving securely so I save two documents using different IDs. Both documents open fine.
I just went into Preferences -> Signatures -> Identities & Trust Signatures
I looked at both certificates. Under Trust the first one says "This certificate is directly trusted in your trusted certificates list." The issuer is "Communications Server"
The second certificate says "This certificate is not trusted" The issuer for this one is a domain server.
