Adobe Acrobat Pro - Serial-activated installations are de-activating themselves

Hi,

I'm a support engineer at a Uni in the UK and we're having problems whereby a once perfectly working Adobe Acrobat Pro DC installation will randomly deactivate itself and request a username and password despite being previously activated with a VLK. This has happened on quite a few systems around the University and is costing our department a lot to rectify because reinstalling the software doesn't fix the issue, and one of our engineers ended up giving up and erasing and reinstalling the entire device from scratch because he was spending too much time on getting it working which then takes the system entirely out of service for the user for the time we're setting the device back up again.

I know that because the PDF format is a standard Adobe is unlikely to care about the cost to their customers for trying to work around problems with their licencing schemes but hopefully there are some sysadmins out there that have a fix we're overlooking. Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance,

- Lee
