During a recent inventory, I found I am unable to determine if Acrobat DC Pro or DC Standard is installed in my company. All I see is Adobe Acrobat DC and the Version number which is the same for Pro and Standard. For Example: Adobe Acrobat DC 15.006.30448 I got on a chat with Support and they were not helpful. Has anyone figured out how to remotely inventory Acrobat DC?

Adobe Acrobat Pro X Image Deployment
Hello,
I have a serialized copy for one user who will access multiple potential servers. When I attempt to deploy the product on an imaged machine, I am to activate and then production servers cannot access the software.
I've attempted to deploy using various articles provided but nothing seems to address this product specifically in this scenario.
Can someone assist, please?

That article doesn't seem to work.
Thanks.
Acrobat DC Pro crashes on brand new PC for end user.
New HP Elitebook 450 G5
Drivers updated to latest HP drivers, graphics for the Intel UHD 650 via the intel website.
Installed Acrobat Pro through the Adobe Cloud desktop app; curently running trial while our license is being aquired.
=> App crashes as soon as u do anything, try to open a file? crash. if the files open and u scroll in it? Crash.
-turning off the security sandbox u read online => not better
- reinstalled => not better
- update through Help > check version => Not better.
To be honest we have other users complaining about their acrobat PRO software crashing easily, but not as extreme as this.
I've created dump file through taskmanager, we urgently need support with this as we're not paying another license for hardly working software!
we've also asked to adjust our accounts to enterprise accounts so we can use the support-function months ago but heard nothing.

Modify default options
We need to be able to set a default configuration in Adobe Acrobat Pro so that all our employees can work by default with this configuration.
We have already configured one of them. Is it possible to export the configuration and apply it to the rest of the employees?
Thank you.
Acrobat Reader
with recent security concerns is there a "simple" supported way to disable all and every feature in acrobat reader, just allowing it to display a PDF? Or is there another product for this? Still using windows 7.
p.s editing the registry in 100 places to do this is not simple.
Patching Reader without uninstalling
The questions I'm trying to answer are whether it is possible to patch existing Reader DC client installations (not the AIP itself) without uninstalling and reinstalling (our current practice) and what specific command to use to send the update.
Executing the command below I get "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service..." error.
msiexec.exe /i "xyz\acroread.msi" /update "xyz\AcroRdr2017Upd1701130105_MUI.msp"
Is it possible to just install the .msp file without calling the original .msi? If so what is the command for that?
For reference our AIP process is like this: (from another post but describes it well)
1. Create an AIP for the base version of Acrobat by using the following commands (Base Release):
msiexec /a <xyz\AcroPro.msi or AcroStan.msi> TARGETDIR=<different path to folder where the AIP must be created>
2. Apply Patch (MSP) using below command (you will get the msp from the extracted folder <xyz>:
msiexec /a <path to AcroPro.msi/AcroStan.msi in the location where the AIP was created at step 1 in TARGETDIR> /p <path to msp patch>
You will get a patched AIP.
3. Install the AIP created by using the following command:
msiexec /i <path to AcroPro.msi/AcroStan.msi in the location where the patched AIP was created>
Can somebody explain how Acrobat DC behaves on a hosted shared desktop environment

VDI Serialized install of Acrobat Pro 17 crashes, or prompts for Adobe Application Manager Install. Why?
I have followed the following steps when installing Acrobat Pro 17 in my VDI scheme as an appstack:
VMware Horizon Deployments — Enterprise Administration Guide
Common Deployment Options — Enterprise Administration Guide (two of us have run this prov.xml file generator independently on different workstations and appstacks and had the same outcome during testing).
We have Acrobat Reader installed in our Gold Image. vSphere 6.7, AppVol Manager 2.14.2.11, Horizon 7 Administrator, Windows 10 LTSB, using writeable volumes, and instant clones.
It launches for most people (except for one person) but eventually pops up with an error that reads: "Adobe Acrobat Adobe Application Manager, required to run your trial, is missing or damaged. Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager_en_il." The one person it does not launch for gets that warning immediately. Everyone else so far can click "Ok" and continue using Acrobat for a short while. Acrobat reader works but doesn't have the functionality we need. (On a side note, when we try to put Reader on an appstack, it crashes immediately. It didn't used to do that, and we're rather put out by this development but that's another thread).
We didn't buy the trial, we purchased the full thing. We've downloaded the full version that we paid for and are using the serial number directly from our login at the Adobe Worldwide Licensing page.
We use this program heavily (our old version is Acrobat Pro X) and we need to get this up to speed. Any help is appreciated!

Reader ADMX Template or MSI *PLEASE* !!
Hi all,
I can see a lot of material on here which although recent (2018) is either out of date or not working (references to the FTP site for example)
Im looking for a best practice approach to using Acrobat Reader which I can deploy in the enterprise and mananage via GPO / ADMX.
Can I be pointed to a link which works or ADMX files, and a relevant working doc please?
I have already spotted a number of articles ranging from Powershell modules to hand crafting policy preferences, none of which work as described due anything from content requirements no longer being downloadable, or scripts etc just not working.
If this isn't achievable, We will be forced to move to an entirely different product, just to view PDFs, which can be managed my GPO.

19.008.20071 distribution version doesn't install the Chrome extension.
I've created an application installation in SCCM to install 19.008.20071. Everything works fine in the install, but the Chrome extension isn't being installed and I need this feature for my Business Services folks.
If I download the public version of .20071 to a single machine and install, the Chrome extension is there.
How can I get the extension to install with version that I download for distribution use? I'm packaging this for distribution to 300+ machines.

Adobe Reader GPO error "Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL"
Hi
I am looking to upgrade Adobe Reader from version 17.011.30096 to 17.011.30105 using group policy.
We are using the base version: Acrobat 2017 Release (Classic Track base release) — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products)
And patching it with the 17.011.30105 update:17.011.30105 Planned update, October 02, 2018 — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products
Once the updates are packages together, we deploy using a GPOFileSource location.
This process has worked in the past but now displays the dialogue below when installed.
Once 'Open with protected mode disabled' is selected, the error below is presented.
I have been successful in manually installing the updates without using group policy.
As far as I can tell permissions are identical to previous deployments.
We have already tried disabling McAfee buffer overflow on my machine but this hasn't helped.
Can anyone help with this please.
Many thanks
Chris
Windows Server 2016 RDS mit Benutzerprofil-Datenträger (user profile disk) und Adobe Reader DC
Hallo zusammen,
